Antibes Old Town is a captivating blend of history, art, and Provençal life. Its cobblestone streets are filled with charm, offering a glimpse into the vibrant culture of the French Riviera.
Marché Provençal : This historic farmers’ market in Antibes is a true local treasure and a must-see for anyone visiting the French Riviera. Over a century old, it has been recognized on CNN’s Top 10 List of the World’s Best Fresh Markets. Located under a covered pavilion in the heart of the Old Town, the market is open daily (except Mondays). It’s a hub where locals gather to shop, chat, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Here, you will find fresh vegetables, seasonal fruits, fragrant herbs, and local specialties like olives, tapenades, homemade jams, local honey, artisanal cheeses and so much more. It’s the perfect spot to sample the flavors of Provence and feel the warmth of the community.
Picasso Museum (optional – ticket not included) : Housed in the Château Grimaldi, this museum celebrates the time Picasso spent in Antibes in 1946, where he created several famous works like The Goat and La Joie de Vivre. The museum’s collection includes Picasso’s art as well as pieces by modern masters like Nicolas de Staël. It’s a highly recommended spot to visit!
The Remparts of Antibes : Ancient stone walls built in the 17th century to protect the town. As you walk along them, you’ll feel the history in every step. Along the way, you’ll pass by the beautiful Cathedral Notre-Dame-de-la-Platea, adding to the charm of the experience. Simple, quiet, and full of character, the ramparts are a great way to explore the old heart of Antibes.
Port Vauban : Known as the “Billionaire’s Berth,” Port Vauban attracts some of the world’s most luxurious yachts. Famous American owners who have visited include Jeff Bezos (Koru), Steven Spielberg (Seven Seas), and David Geffen (Rising Sun). But it’s not just about the glamour, walking around the port, you’ll also see fishing boats and historic fortifications.
Cap d’Antibes is a special place, where you can really feel the charm of the French Riviera. It’s not just about luxury villas, although you’ll see plenty of those too. The real beauty of Cap d’Antibes is the sense of calm and the little community that lives here.
The fun part : Your driver will share all the insider details about Cap d’Antibes! Curious about which villa belongs to which famous celebrity or billionaire? Just ask, and you’ll get the inside story on who owns what and maybe even a few fun facts along the way!
Sentier du Littoral : You’ll have the chance to take a relaxing walk along the Sentier du Littoral, also known as the Tire-Poil trail (Legend says that the Tirepoil path literally “hairpull” takes its name from the omnipresent sea-wind that messes with visitors’ hair). This coastal path is surrounded by nature and offers a quiet, peaceful escape.
Port de l’Olivette : Voted the number one marvel of Antibes by its inhabitants, the port is also the most photographed spot in the town! Located in a picturesque setting, to the west of Cap d’Antibes, it has housed the traditional colourful “pointus” [fishing boats with a pointed bow] since 1910. A striking contrast with the large modern port of Antibes, Port Vauban, which is home to grand yachts!
On the return, we’ll drive by the iconic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a legendary spot where famous figures like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio, and even Winston Churchill have stayed.
Juan-les-Pins is a seaside town that perfectly captures the essence of the French Riviera. With its beautiful sandy beaches, refreshing sea breeze, and palm-lined streets, it’s a place where you can truly relax. Take a stroll through the town, explore the local shops, and pick up some unique souvenirs to remember your visit. Whether you’re enjoying a coffee by the beach or doing a bit of shopping, Juan-les-Pins offers a peaceful escape and the perfect spot to enjoy your last moments on the Riviera.
